A.J. Pero, Drummer for Twisted Sister and Adrenaline Mob

Anthony Jude (A.J.) Pero (October 14, 1959-March 20, 2015) was a rock drummer for Twisted Sister and, more recently, Adrenaline Mob. He was a core member of Twisted Sister during its most productive period, recording six albums, participating in four world tours and receiving 32 gold, silver and platinum albums and singles (including a Triple Platinum for “Stay Hungry.”) To date, Twisted Sister has sold over 20 million albums.

According to his official website, Mr. Pero received his first “real” drum set, a red sparkle Ludwig, at age 4 (Before that, he pounded on his mom and dad’s pots and pans). According to Mr. Pero’s website, the legendary jazz drummer Gene Krupa was one of his teachers (Krupa also taught KISS’s Peter Criss and Jerry Nolan of The New York Dolls.)
